Logger's Rest welcomes you to Stanthorpe.

 Situated on the edge of The Granite Belt town of Stanthorpe. Just two and a half hours south-west of   Brisbane on the middle of the Granite Belt. Our Luxury B&B style accommodation in Stanthorope has a warm and  friendly atmosphere in a home full of old world charm, alongside modern comforts such as air-conditioning, ensuites and cozy wood fireplaces for those colder nights.

Logger's Rest is within walking distance of the centre of Stanthorpe along Quart Pot Creek within easy access of the tourist information centre and a number of local stores. Anna's Restaurant serves delicious Italian cuisine and is just a brisk walk up the road. Patty's on McGroegor is a charming restaurant also nearby.

Stanthorpe is known as The Granite Belt Wine Capital with more than  45 wineries in the surrounding area selling top class wine. It is also the home to many boutique friut and berry farms, specialising in olive, strawberries and lavanda just to mention a few. With the local apple juice factory and the cheesedairy both open for tastings, it make up to be a busy time. The large fruit and vegetable growing community in the Stanthorpe is due to the area's favorable weather conditions, chilly winter mornings to beautiful mild summer nights. Friuts include peaches, apricots, nectarines and of course apples.


The Apple and Grape Harvest Festival on the Granite Belt celebrates the harvest every other year in March. The Wine and Food Affair celebrates the wines and regional produce with many of the menus at the event being influenced strongly by the Mediterranean culture present in the area. Stanthorpe also celebrates four seasons with the most popular being the Brass Monkey SeasonTM in the winter months. This is when the temperatures fall and there are wood fires to warm the body and wine to warm the soul.

Stanthorpe is also surrounded by a number of beautiful, unspoiled national parks. Just south of Stanthorpe lies Girraween National Park which is home to a number of spectacular granite rock formations. During the Spring months, the park has stunning displays of wildflowers which make it a favorite spot to visit for bushwalkers.

Bald Rock National Park is another popular spot for visitors as it contains the largest granite rock formation in the southern hemisphere which provides amazing views of the surrounding area. At Boonoo Boonoo National Park where visitors can witness the spectacular waterfalls and a number of popular swimming holes.

Visitors can also watch the wildlife in its natural habitat. Or go fishing in one of our close dams like the Storm King Dam just down the road.
